Artist's Statement

Like so many of my fellow artists, the need to transfer what I see onto paper has been with me from a very young age. Always a careful observer, I have found that as I mature, my focus has grown sharper. This definitely reflects in my work.

My paintings invite the viewer to stop and notice the details inherent in everyday things. I present a fresh approach to watercolor: working in detail, using strong color and in a large-scale format.

The process of becoming an artist is one that I know has no end. It's a journey that I feel privileged to make.
